From Bertram Hays Jones to Tim Brown, there are a number of famous football players from Hays County who have made a name for themselves in the NFL. Bertram Hays Jones is a former American professional soccer player who was quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Baltimore Colts and Los Angeles Rams. He was born on September 7, 1995 and is considered one of the most notable football players from Hays County.

Tim Brown was the first wide receiver to win the Heisman Trophy and holds several Raiders records as well as NFL records. He is remembered as one of the best passers in NFL history and should eventually end up in the Hall of Fame. Lance Alworth is another famous football player from Hays County. He was the first San Diego Charger and the first player to play in the AFL to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
